Ensuring adequate protein with each meal is sometimes crucial for healing from chronic pain because when we stimulate mTOR we stimulate significant muscle protein synthesis. When muscle mass is low and this is contributing to chronic pain, we want and need to optimize muscle protein synthesis. 30g of protein with each meal accomplishes this.
