When you are dealing with chronic pain, it's important to understand that imaging does not always show the cause of your pain. You can have structural changes without pain, or pain without any visible changes. It's important to have a thorough history and physical exam, and possibly diagnostic injections or treatment, in order to determine the cause of your pain. Simply relying on imaging can lead you astray in finding relief. Look for a provider who will correlate your imaging with other factors to fully understand the source of your pain.
