Believe it or not, I found this Log roadside about a year ago. Cut off a piece, and let it dry in the Stock Shelf. Not too sure what it is. My educated guess is Hickory by the hardness of the Pith and its color.
I turned it to a Barrel Shape Hollow, and fitted it with a lid I had from a previous Turn that warped out on my. The Lid is Cherry and Rosewood.
Shined up great with Shellac
