If there's a hole in your tummy like a great black pit...our recipe of Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pies from Sweeney Todd will surely fill it! Have a happy and safe Halloween Feasters!

Ingredients:
2 quails
2 slices of bacon, chopped
⅓ cup white wine
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp. Vegetable or mushroom buillon
¼ cup vegetable stock
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 tbsp. Flour
Pie Crust (Recipe from Cookbook or store bought)

Instructions:
1. Set the pan over medium high heat until hot. Add the quail to the pan, and then add the chopped bacon around the meat. Flip the meat after 3-5 minutes. Sear on all sides and set aside.

2. Deglaze the pan with white wine. Reduce heat to medium. Scrape off the bottom of the pan.

3. In the same pan, add the carrots, onion, celery, garlic, salt, pepper, buillon, and vegetable stock. Stir to combine.

4. When onions have cooked down, add the de-boned quail meat.

5. Add flour to thicken the pie filling.

6. Prepare a pie crust. Add the filling to the pie and then the top of the pie.

7. Bake at 350? degrees for 45? minutes.
