Here are the best dividend stocks to have right now mid-year 2023. These companies have a dividend yield of 5% or higher as a base and the dividend payments are consistent and growing. I also look at the stock price to make sure it has been increasing over the past five years and also see if the companies are doing better than the ASX200.

As a dividend investor, this is the exact research I do when choosing companies to invest in. Sometimes I’ll buy but most of the time I’ll put them on a watch list for further analysis.

As a dividend investor, I only research which companies to buy a few times a year, as the financials don’t change much.
