Lemon and oranges are really good for preserving. Instead of using the traditional method we can use lemons, oranges or any other fruit from citrus family this way. I used lemons and tangerines. When you pick the fruit from the plant when the fruits are well ripe the texture of the fruit becomes matured and not bitter at all.
Ingredients
500 g lemons/orange/ Tangerines or any citrus.
3 Tbsp salt in 2 Lt water for washing lemons.
Preserving jars. ( Need to be washed and sanitised beforehand. )
500 g sugar
