Fall is here!! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and you know what that means: pumpkin spiced lattes everywhere! While pumpkin spiced latte is not a thing in Puerto Rico, we have something even better - cazuela. Cazuela is the perfect fall treat, the wonderful combination of squash, sweet potato and warm spices like cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg - is to die for!! This is an old school Puerto Rican recipe so you really have to try this one!

Ingredients:

1 ½ lbs calabaza (Puerto Rican squash)
1 ½ lbs batata (sweet potatoes)
6 oz evaporated milk (½ can)
7 ½ oz cream of coconut (½ can)
7 ½ oz coconut milk (½ can)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup fine ground rice flour
3 eggs
4 tbs butter, room temperature (**NOTE that we accidentally forgot to include adding this when we edited the video. Just add it right before the eggs and blend until smooth)
1 cup shredded coconut
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cloves
⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
