The Renault Clio is a mainstay of the supermini class, the first model having been launched more than 30 years ago. For 2023 Renault has updated its fifth generation Clio with fresh styling, an upgraded interior and new trim levels to tie in with the rest of the Renault range. Not only that, but Renault has slimmed down the Clio's powertrain options so that it is now available with only petrol or hybrid power.

In this CarGurus UK review, Chris Knapman gets behind the wheel of the Clio E-Tech Full Hybrid in top-of-the-range Esprit Alpine trim and finds it to be a very likeable supermini with a couple of strange quirks.
