During this virtual session, Chef Chris Bugher, CEC, will be sharing information for creating delicious vegan dishes and what judges are looking for in vegan competitions. Participants will gain the understanding of the vegan judging criteria, how to build a healthy protein rich vegan meal, and see a hands-on demonstration of a Vegan version of the beloved New Orleans Sandwich “Po Boy”.
Chef Bugher represented the United States in the first ever Vegan category at the WACS Global Chefs Challenge in Santiago, Chile, winning a gold medal and 1st place in the Americas. He will move on to compete in the Finals in Singapore in 2024.
