Surah/Quran AL HAQQAH (The one who shows the truth) - Beautiful Recitation That Soothes The Heart

Surah Al Haqqah or also called The Inevitable is a Meccan surah, composed of 52 verses.
She had come down to recall the terrible and inevitable fate of the disbelievers and the harsh punishment that God reserved for the non-believers on the day of Judgment. Surah Al Haqqah, takes its name from the expression Al Haqqah (the inevitable or the one that delivers the truth) found in the first two verses. Let us discover in what follows, the context of revelation of this surah as well as the benefits of its recitation.

An authentic hadith reported by Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal clarifies the period of revelation of this Surah.
Indeed, Omar one of the companions of the prophet (May God grant him His grace and His peace) had said, "Before I entered Islam, one day, I left my house with the intention of causing harm to the Prophet Mohammad (May God grant him His grace and His peace), but he had entered the Mosque long before me. When I arrived, I found him praying while reciting Surat Al Haqqah.
I stood behind him listening to him. As he recited the Quran, I marveled at the charm and literary beauty of his words. Suddenly, I had the idea that he must be a poet as claimed by the people of the Quraysh tribe. At that precise moment, he recited the words: "That this (the Quran) is the word of a noble Messenger, and that it is not the word of a poet...".

I then said to myself: If it is not a poet then it must be a diviner. It was indeed, whereupon he recited the words: “It is not the word of a diviner, but you remember very little. It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe.” Hearing this, Islam penetrated deep into my heart. It is deduced according to this hadith, that the sura was revealed long before the conversion of Omar to Islam.

The sura begins first, with a reminder of the inevitable arrival of the Day of Resurrection and the Day of Judgment while citing the fate and harsh retribution of all who question their existence.
Secondly, the verses evoke the reason why God intended a second life for Man after life on earth. Indeed, the believers, they will have the long-awaited reward, a happy existence will be ensured in the hereafter, in a high placed Garden and overflowing with fruits. As for the unbelievers and egotists who denigrate the poor, these will be thrown into the furnace coiled in a chain of 70 cubits and fed from the well of the reprobate.
