Surah/Quran Al Mu'minun (The Believers) - Magnificent Recitation That Soothes the Heart and Protects.

The style and theme of the surah clearly indicate that it was proclaimed in Mecca in the midst of the Prophetic mission. Indeed, the surah mentions the conflict that began between the Prophet Mohamed (peace and blessings of God be upon him) and the polytheists of Mecca when this persecution had not yet become tyrannical.

According to verses 75 and 76, the surah was revealed while the famine in Mecca was at its highest, and according to the opinions of scholars, this famine took place in the midst of the Meccan Prophetic Mission.

The surah forms an invitation to Men so that they agree to follow the path of righteousness and to believe in the divine message of the Prophet Mohamed (peace and blessing of God be upon him).

The first verses speak of the characteristics of true believers. Indeed, according to Omar Ibn Al Khattab, “the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) said “I have just received ten verses, those who are able to honor them will certainly go to Paradise. » Then he recited the first verses of surah The Believers. »

In verses 23 to 54, the surah repeats the stories of the previous Prophets and the reaction of their people. These stories constitute historical proof of the truth of the Message of the Prophet Mohamed (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

In the verses that follow the surah, demonstrate that success and wealth in this world are not a criterion of success in the eyes of Allah. The true criterion for success in the afterlife is faith in God and recognition of the arrival of the Day of Judgment. Indeed, in verses from 68 to 77, several arguments are provided to convince the polytheists that Mohamed (peace and blessings of God be upon him) is a true Prophet.

Finally, the surah warns the enemies of the truth against the Day of Judgment, where they will suffer the terrible consequences of their persecutions.
