These little guys can be a bit of a problem if you wait until they are very dry.
I would recommend putting down a drop cloth prior to cutting the seed heads off. . . Why? You might ask. Well I'm glad you asked. That's because if you don't (put down a drop cloth) you WILL have hundreds of unplanned lettuce plants. No! There's no need to ask me how I know. Lets just say that No One gets to escape from the school of hard knocks.
Don't forget to label your seed bag and store in a dark and dry space.
