In this video I’ll be sharing a scientific review of the Apple Watch Ultra after 3 months of testing. Over these past few months, I’ve put the Apple Watch Ultra through its paces, collecting data from almost 100 workouts, 45 nights of sleep, 50 GPS tests, and 2 tests of low oxygen saturation, to give you a comprehensive look at the health tracking capabilities of the Apple Watch Ultra. I’ll systematically analyze this data, by comparing 45 nights of sleep data from the Apple Watch Ultra to that of an EEG device, which can actually measure brainwaves, checking if the GPS signals are consistent, I’ll test the Apple Watch in a low oxygen environment and I’ll compare the heart rate measurements to an ECG device. This information should help you determine whether the health tracking features of the Apple Watch Ultra are a good fit for you. And I have to say, though the Apple Watch Ultra performed as I expected in many regards, it did surprise me when it comes to a few results. So sit back, relax, and let's dive into this scientific review of the Apple Watch Ultra.

We’ll be focussing on actual data I collected with the Apple Watch Ultra. However, before showing you the results I did briefly want to mention some of the updates the Apple Watch Ultra has gotten over the last few months in about 30 seconds: First of all, you can now extend the battery life of the Apple Watch Ultra during Outdoor Walking, Running, and Hiking Workouts by reducing the frequency of heart rate and GPS readings. Second, the Outdoor Running workout now automatically detects when you arrive at a running track and also provides some track specific metrics in the USA. And, the final thing I wanted to mention is that Race Route lets you compete against your previous performance in Outdoor Run, Outdoor Cycle, and Outdoor Wheelchair Workouts.
