the Blue Beetle Final trailer makes one thing clear: this will not be the regular DC hero tale we’re used to. These days that means messy cramming of multiple storylines and nonsensical details to serve a fan base that’s already confused by the studio that has let them down. So while fans demand they don’t fully know what they’re demanding because the studio doesn’t have a strong enough and clear purpose.

This may shift in the James Gunn era….

Blue Beetle will be about family as a superpower. Family Unity as a force to be reckoned with…

Sounds enticing to us, a family of artist living out the seeming impossible dream of being professional creatives.

This story and DC hero flick Carrie’s more than an action packed punch. It offer a glimpse into themes that we as a world really need to embrace and discern over.

And so we are obviously excited to see this film come to the big screen. While none of us worked on this project it still feels very much like we belong and are a part of it.

What about you, how do you feel about this upcoming DC movie? Does it finally reset the mess left by DCU prior to James Gunn taking over? Or will this be another big miss for DC?
