In this video, I am showing how to make Oden, a typical comfort food of winter in Japan.

In my Channel, I show step by step of alternative but authentic Japanese home cooking, which can be made with the ingredients that are easily available outside of Japan.

Ingredients for Oden (3-4 Portions):
Soup base
- Water 4 Cups
- Salt 1/2 Tsp
- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tbsp
- Dasho powder 5 g

Possible ingredients:
Chikuwa, Satsuma-age (fish cakes), Ganmodoki (fried tofu), Konnyaku, boiled eggs, chicken wings, dried Shiitake mushrooms, Kombu kelp, Daikon-radish, potatoes, carrots, turnips, octopus, squid, sausage, cabbage, etc.
