Recipe:
Apple Crisp with Oats Topping
Ingredients:
6-8 Apples (Granny Smith best) Gala/Courtland /Pink Lady apples work well - peeled and sliced into slim wedges
1/4 cup white sugar (combine with cinnamon to coat apples once peeled/sliced)
1 tablespoon cinnamon (add to the apples & sugar)
Topping:
1 cup oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1-1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup cold butter
Serve with vanilla ice-cream (best) / or whipped cream topping
Bake at 375F or 175C for 40 minutes (until golden brown)
