New Warbond's out! Hope you're all having fun trying out the new toys. I've still got some grinding to do to unlock everything, but I've been having a lot of fun already with the Eruptor, an amazing specialist weapon that feels like the final piece of my AMR Sniper builds.

IMO, the Autocannon and the AMR are right at the top of the Support Weapon picks for the Automatons, able to take on every kind of enemy unit the bots can throw at us and in any number. The AMR's always been missing one thing that the AC has though - the ability to take out Fabricators, which also frees you up to take the incredibly useful Stun nades.

The Eruptor (literally) plugs that hole, being able to destroy Fabricators and Bug Holes with ease. Not only that, its even better at taking out Striders than the AMR, destroying them with shots to the shield in a single shot. Its large AOE also makes it excellent for taking out grouped up Troopers. EDIT: One thing I didn't know for this run was that it also deletes Gunships with a single shot to the cockpit, which is way faster than it took with the AMR.

Just don't think of it as a primary weapon in the sense that you'll be using it for the majority of the smaller enemies - its firerate and small magazine are far too low for that. it's a specialist weapon for specific targets, let the AMR be your general purpose bot killer. That same mindset will also let it shine in setups with other support weapons like the MGs.

Build:

Basically the same build as my usual AMR set up, but with the Diligence swapped out for the Eruptor - think of the AMR as your primary, and the Eruptor as your dedicated Fabricator, Strider, and crowdclearer. With the Eruptor on Fabricator duty, we can bring stun nades to set up Hulk kills and for emergency CCs. Senator is our reliable sidearm for one-shotting Troopers and Devastators.

For Strats, we're taking 500kg for Research Stations, Detector Towers, and other hard targets; Eagle Airstrike for all purpose destruction; and the Orbital Laser for AA guns, base-clearing, and emergencies.

For armour, I've gone with the Trailblazer Scout armour for stealthing, though any armours like the Eradicator armour that have the recoil and explosive resistance bonuses are better for a loud approach.

Since I'm doing solo stealth, the extended radar range helps keep me appraised of any enemy patrols.
