A number of Columbia University students held a protest on Thursday against the Israeli occupation of Gaza and demanded a ceasefire in the besieged enclave.

Law enforcement officers broke up the protest, arresting over 100 demonstrators from a campus lawn where they had gathered in support of the Palestinian people.
