Electric burr grinders tend to be quite expensive, so you can certainly pick up a good manual grinder for less money. Plus, there's just something about grinding by hand which really adds to the whole coffee brewing experience.

The best part about the Hario Smart G(and indeed any high end manual grinder) is that the adjustment nut is very easy to use so you can adjust the coarseness or fineness of your coffee grounds with a lot of accuracy and consistency.
At the end of the day, burr grinders will always produce better grinds than blade grinders, which tend to grind quite unevenly.
