Restaurants and unique eateries can be found in almost every community. Visit a couple food establishments in Central Ohio that are neighborhood hotspots; including the Hamburger Inn in Delaware, which claims to be the oldest diner in Ohio; and the Taco Shop on the west side of Columbus, which has been in business for over a decade.

The Hamburger Inn Diner is a popular food destination in Delaware, Ohio. Operating since 1932, the diner is known for its cinnamon rolls and its black angus chili, which has not changed recipes since it began. Producer George Levert visits the Diner to learn more about its history.

West Side Food Truck
The Taco Shop, aka La Autoridad del Taco started with a small hotdog cart outside of Westland Flea Market. In the past ten years, the shop has grown and expanded its offerings. The Taco Shop's Oaxacan Street-style fare shares a taste of Angel Cruz and his family's culture. Angel speaks to WOSU's Leticia Wiggins on what it means to work with family and serve his community on Columbus's West Side.

The Hamburger Inn in Delaware, Ohio, claims to be the oldest diner in Ohio, operating since 1932. Aaron O’Donovan at the Columbus Metropolitan Library looks into the library’s records to see if the diner’s claim can be confirmed.

G & R Tavern's Fried Bologna
There are small mom and pop establishments all over Ohio and Producer George Levert is on the trail to find them; including G&R Tavern in Waldo, which has its own take on Fried Bologna.

Two Views of Mt. Vernon Avenue
Loraine Wilmers from the Columbus Metropolitan Library shares 2 photos taken across the street from each other on Mt. Vernon Avenue, which she was able to identify through certain features seen in each photo. The photos are only two of over 20,000 photos, documents, maps, and videos in the library’s vast collection.
