Peter Bethlenfalvy, Ontario’s Finance Minister, joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss the provincial budget for the next fiscal year. He says Ontario is not immune to global economic forces, but continues to be very prudent while also investing in long-term productive assets. He weighs in on the debate about asking Canadian pension funds to invest more at home, and says Ontario is focused on creating attractive opportunities for pension funds that are doing “a fantastic job”. He also says Ontario is doing “more than any jurisdiction on the planet” on skills training.
