Banana bread has always been a boring dessert for me, so I challenged myself to make it Not Boring and level up banana bread to heights i've never seen!

Ingredients:

-1 stick of butter (for browning)
-1 cup brown sugar
-1 whole egg
-4 bananas
-1/2 cup sour cream
-1.5 cups all-purpose flour
-1 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp baking soda
-1/2 cup chocolate chips
-4 oz cream cheese
-1/4 cup sugar
-1 egg yolk
-1 cup white chocolate
-1/3 cup milk
-5 tbsp butter (for glaze)
-6 tbsp butter (for caramel sauce)
-1/2 cup heavy cream
-Walnuts (for topping)

Instructions:

-Brown the Butter: On medium heat, cook down a whole stick of butter until browned and it smells like caramel. Allow to cool in the fridge for about 15 minutes.

-In a bowl, mix the cooled brown butter and 1 cup of brown sugar with a hand mixer.

-Add the Egg: Mix in one whole egg until the mixture becomes light and frothy.

-Prepare the Bananas: Place four bananas on a baking sheet and bake at 350Β°F for about 15 minutes. Mash the baked bananas in a separate bowl.

-Combine Ingredients: Add the 1/2 cup of sour cream to the mashed bananas and mix well. Combine this banana mixture with the main batter.

-Dry Ingredients: Fold in 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp baking soda. Lastly, add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.

-Prepare the Cheesecake Swirl: In a separate bowl, mix 4 oz of cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 egg yolk using a hand mixer.

-Layer the Banana Bread: In a bread pan, add a thin layer of the main batter, then dollops of the cream cheese mixture. Use a butter knife to create swirls. Repeat this layering process until the pan is full.

-Bake: Place the banana bread in a 350Β°F oven for about an hour. Allow the bread to cool before removing from the pan.

-Caramel Sauce: For the caramel, melt 1 cup of sugar on medium heat. Add 6 tbsp of butter and 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Finish with a pinch of salt.

-Inject the cooled banana bread with the prepared caramel sauce.

-White Chocolate Glaze: On medium heat, bring 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/3 cup of milk, and 5 tbsp of butter to a boil for one minute. Pour this hot mixture over 1 cup of white chocolate in a bowl, stirring until the chocolate is melted.

-Finishing Touches: Pour the white chocolate glaze over the banana bread and top with walnuts.
