Let me just say it has been a long journey to get where we are today... I have a few things to reflect on that I've personally learned throughout this journey, I hope at least one of these resonates with somebody:

1. Murphy's law is very real and omnipresent in business. "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."

2. Defining the "why" behind running this business is arguably one of the most significant factors in how we made it to this point. I encourage you take the time to think about it.

3. Be open to feedback, take the blame for things, and make it a goal to improve some aspect of the business/yourself everyday--no matter how small.

4. Don't take shortcuts. This will almost always come back to hurt you and negatively impacts the quality of your company/product moving forward.

5. Embrace discomfort and take action in the face of fear. New situations can be uncomfortable and scary--learn to love it and you will be exponentially more effective.

6. A satisfied customer is for more lucrative than any single order. If somebody has an issue with something, just refund the order and ask how you can improve. Any single order is worth far less than a customer who feels that you actually care and wants to support YOU.

7. Be quick to make decisions, and when you do, be confident (even if you aren't). You will constantly be faced with game time decisions that you are prepared for, take a deep breath and take action. The faster you do, the sooner you can either relish in your success or start working on correcting your decision. In either scenario you learned the proper action.

8. Be open to failing. This will happen time and time again. Learn to fail on the small things so when something larger happens you aren't crippled by it. The amount of education in failure in astounding.

9. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. Business = Relationships. If you're an introvert, figure out how to overcome that so you can put yourself out there to some extent. The more people you know, the more potential business you have. Selling isn't tricking somebody into buying your product, it's establishing a relationship based on reciprocal trust and then sharing your passion with them.

10. Determine what your strengths and weaknesses are. Don't try to operate or act like somebody else or some other company. You will be far more successful on every front by knowing yourself, your strengths, and building your business model around YOU.
