What a heck of a rollercoaster this trip has been!
As some of you may know, we were able to locate and bring home Charles “Chuck” Fluharty yesterday.
Once we knew that Charles was brought to shore we packed up and headed to our next case in Wellston, Ohio to help search in the long ago case of Tom Long.
Tom went missing over 50 years ago in his almost brand new Pontiac Catalina. This search brought us to a local strip pit that had always been rumored to be Tom’s final resting place.
We put our boat in and began to sonar. We didn’t find anything in the first couple of parts of the strip pit, but almost immediately after entering the 3rd section, we located a vehicle.
Eric and I dove and were able to locate a license plate. It unfortunately wasn’t the vehicle we were looking for.
We contacted law enforcement and their response time was amazing. They allowed us to pull the vehicle. Turns out the vehicle was a 1992 Thunderbird and had been stolen approximately 18-19 years ago.
