In 1999, two men wait outside of a cinema, one is responsible for Metal Gear Solid and the other for Final Fantasy. They quickly strike up a friendship and believe that together they will conquer the video game industry and take the medium to new heights

Within five years - one had cemented himself as a legend and the other had disappeared entirely

Today we'll be exploring the mystery of Yasumi Matsuno and his final video game, Vagrant Story. It's a tragedy that will take us through the history of Square and the RPG genre, telling a tale of a man who rose to the top and came crashing back down again

It's part critique, part retrospective, part review and part history lesson - obviously full of spoilers and obviously full of my opinions
