This past week has been so busy! All good things, of course! We still found time to brave the -24˚ windchill and get the "Squatters Heights" ready for the next phase in the build - DECKING! This build is going so much faster than we expected, but every new thing we do is so fun and exciting! We had to get one more burn and brush on the floor joists before securing them to the support beams. Seems simple, right? Well, not when the propane tank freezes, you cant feel your fingers and you're blind and crying from so much smoke in your eyes. All that aside, we managed to get it done and of course had fun doing it! We cannot wait to get the deck boards up on the platform. I, for one, will feel so much safer walking around up there, and we'll be one step closer to completing this off-grid treehouse build!
