#architects #modernmetal #bassmix

Metal scholars, Architects' latest track, "Seeing Red," boldly returns to their heavier roots, seamlessly blending modern metal elements like breakdowns, harsh vocals, and a memorable chorus with a choir reminiscent of Pink Floyd's "The Wall", or Bring Me The Horizon "Parasite Eve". Despite its many strengths, a notable (subjective) flaw lies in the subpar treatment of the bass in the mix, urging modern metal bands to prioritize this overlooked aspect, in my humble opinion. I love modern metal but I don't understand why the bass has to be relegated to such a limited role and I will always voice my takes on it. Other than that, this is a return-to-form in all its glory! Lyrically, "Seeing Red" is a robust exploration of Architects' struggles in the public eye. In conclusion, they balance modern metal prowess with thought-provoking storytelling - for the future, who knows, maybe a call for improvement in bass representation?

I remixed the bass and I know people are going to prefer the original, but like I said, it is a subjective experience and I mixed the way I wish I could listen to the song on Spotify, hehe. Anyhow, please let me know what you think! Like, share and sub!

Architects is HEAVY Again - With a MINOR FLAW?

here are the lyrics:

[Intro]
Rent-free living in your head
"R.I.P.", they commented
I felt it when they said
"We only ever love you when you're seeing red"
Blegh
Seeing red

[Verse 1]
You oughta know that I'm like a broken machine
I'm not as bulletproof as you all paint me to be
Time hasn't frozen, why do you want me to scream?
Are you a junkie punk, medicating for free?

[Pre-Chorus]
We're all you need
We'll make you royalty
We'll be the best of enemies

[Chorus]
Read mе all my rights
I'll never grow tired of your grеat advice
Won't somebody tell me what I believe?
I'm sorry for your sacrifice
I guess I must've sounded like the antichrist
Won't somebody tell me
Won't somebody tell me
What I believe?

[Verse 2]
No debts, all love, I don't give a fuck
My head, my heart, wouldn't be enough
I won't think twice
I'm afraid I'm the priest, you're the poltergeist
We're like one big family
Gee, thanks so much for the death threat
Do you hear the audacity?
You dummies only live on the internet

[Pre-Chorus]
We're all you need (Oh yeah? That's right!)
We'll make you royalty (Give me that gold)
We'll be the best of enemies

[Chorus]
Read me all my rights
I'll never grow tired of your great advice
Won't somebody tell me what I believe?
I'm sorry for your sacrifice
I guess I must've sounded like the antichrist
Won't somebody tell me
Won't somebody tell me
What I believe?

[Breakdown]
Oh
"Are you happy now?"
Rent-free living in your head
"R.I.P.", they commented
I felt it when they said
"We only ever love you when you're seeing red"
