My baseline requirement for all smart products I review is that you have the ability to utilize all the features without paying a subscription. I don't like the ring doorbell camera, the nest doorbell, or ARLO video doorbells for just this reason!

Our overall best video doorbell of 2022 is the Skybell (review here    • Our Best Wired Doorbell Camera  - Sto...  ) but we haven't had a favorite wireless video doorbell until now.

The main flaw of wireless doorbell cameras is that the memory was outside and if stolen, the video history went with it. But AOSU has solved that problem and except for it's size we like it even better than our favorite wired video doorbell!

The AOSU wireless video doorbell camera meets our requirements of no monthly fees and has a few other features that make it one of the best video doorbell cameras of 2022.

In my review I found three things that set this wireless doorbell camera apart:

1) No monthly fees to access all video remotely.
2) Video is stored in the bridge unit that is in your home. If the camera is ever stolen, you still have access to the video. Many doorbell cameras have their storage in the doorbell, if the door bell is taken, you've lost the video of the theft.
3) You do not need an existing door bell. The is a battery powered and doesn't rely on exiting wiring.
4) Loaded with features including auto response and voice masking.

The only thing about this camera that I didn't love is it's size. It is larger than my favorite wired solutions from Skybell (See my review here:    • Our Best Wired Doorbell Camera  - Sto...   ), but if you don't have an existing doorbell camera or you don't want to bother hooking one up, I can't think of a better wireless video doorbell in 2022. This one is awesome.
