Montreal’s urban transformation to become less car-dominated and more livable is nothing short of amazing. By now everyone knows about the big examples like the very well-used express bike corridor on Saint-Denis or the lively car-free summer streets, but if you walk or bike around the city you’ll encounter dozens more changes, big and small, that have only happened over the past decade or so. The thing is, you might not know that the changes were new, and that the city wasn’t always like this.
