The Metaphor: ReFantazio “ATLUS Exclusive” livestream gave us a ton of information to sift through about Atlus' new title. This showcase gave us a lot of information about what we already know about the world of Metaphor and it's characters. I think it's safe to say that Hashino and the rest of Studio Zero are taking full advantage of their opportunity to do something incredible with Metaphor and this showcase feels like it will be the first true step in the hype cycle for this game. Whether it is Evangelion, NieR: Automata, or obviously Persona, the influences on this title from absolute masterpieces cannot be understated and with all of the information about the Combat System, Gauntlet Runners, Louis, and traveling through the United Kingdom of Euchronia that came out in todays showcase I wanted to very specifically look at 'The King's Trial' trailer together, to see what we can deduce based on the information we already have and the information that the Atlus Exclusive Showcase revealed to us.
