When it comes to Boeing 737 Max and the two tragic crashes that it was involved in, the question often becomes why Boeing chose to launch this variant in the first place. That clearly deserves to be answered but even if we do, it won't explain the whole story.

The bigger thing to understand here is how Boeing managed to design and certify an aircraft with a system that should have been the equivalent of having a tiny kitten locked in a cage but instead became a loose tiger.
