My first time eating bluegills! And what's even crazier is that I caught these bluegill panfish at the lake near me hours before! My first catch and cook! I don't really eat fish in general, but after trying fish sandwiches from the fast food restaurants near me, I decided to try and catch my own fish to make a fish sandwich. That's what my current Youtube video series is about. Instead of making a fish sandwich out of these bluegills, I decided to just do a simple pan fry method to see how they taste before going all out on a sandwich. What an experience!

Recipe:
Fresh Caught Bluegills
1-2 egg, whisked with a fork
1 cup panko breading
1 TB salt
1TB pepper
1TB Old Bay seasoning

Gut and clean the bluegills. Mix the panko breading with salt, pepper and old bay seasoning. Dip the cleaned bluegills into the egg wash and coat thoroughly. Dip the egg coated bluegill into the breading mixture and cover thoroughly. Drop carefully into a pan full of oil that has been heated up to 325-350 degrees F. Cook for a few minutes and flip over. Pull out once the bluegill is golden brown. Enjoy!
