The oldies are back! Found another VHS tape in the archives from 2002 into 2003 that will be gradually making its way to my channel over the next 6 months or so... This is the first video from it featuring a chase of an Amtrak Surfliner/San Diegan from Orange County to downtown San Diego back in 2002. Amfleet cabcar #9635 takes the lead with a colorful mixed Phase 3 & 4 consist including a Dome Car!

Much of the areas in the video are completely different today... The crossing in the first clip no longer exists, Cannon road was single main line with searchlights at CP Farr, and Del Obispo St and Ash are now Quiet Zones.
