The Quiet Zone in downtown San Diego has been temporarily lifted by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). This temporary suspension will remain in effect until all non-compliant items have been fixed by the city of San Diego. So for the time being... train horns return to the famed downtown "horn alley" in 2024!

While the caliber of K5LA isn't what it used to be back in 2012 (mainly noting the obnoxious Raised Letter K5LA!)... it's still nice to hear the horns sounding off again in San Diego... even to the dismay of the local residents! HAHA!

I spent half of a RAINY WET Monday afternoon filming some of the action... even got lucky with a daytime Daygo passing by! Ash St had a 6.32.2 procedure 2 caused by the rain slowing trains down even further.
