Tijuana River Valley Campground
Located in south western most point of San Diego County, in San Ysidro, CA. The campground is just a short 30 minute drive from downtown San Diego, CA

There are 51 primitive campsites that can accommodate RV, Trailer, Horses and Teens. There are also Yurts available for rent. This is a relatively new campground and currently there is no shade at any of the campsites. There are showers and flushing toilets though :)

There are 20+ miles of multi-use trails near the campground. When I was there, there was a good onshore flow from the ocean, which is only 1.5 miles away. You can also camp with your horse or rent a horse from the nearby stables to ride out to the beach. Once of the few places you can do that.
