On March 11, the Russians began actively shelling the Sumy region. Villages near the border suffer the most. The Russians are shelling them with anti-aircraft guns and artillery.

The village of Velyka Pysarivka is located near the border with Russia. In the spring of 2022, the Russians occupied it. After the deoccupation, civilians began to return here and rebuild Pysarivka. In the second year of the full-scale invasion, Sumy region is experiencing something akin to déjà vu — again heavy shelling, and again people are being asked to leave their homes.

During this week, the Russians destroyed all administrative buildings and infrastructure facilities in Velika Pysarivka. And during the weekend, 54 guided aerial bombs were released in the community. Currently, the active evacuation of the local population from Velikopysarivka community is underway.
