It's a great time for horror fans as the next horror indie gem has shown its face in the form of Reveil. This game already caught a lot of attention during the Steam Next Fest with its beautiful visuals and unqiue atmosphere.
We play as a man who is looking for his family in various locations revolving a circus. This circus as a setpiece is brilliant as its full of detail and dripping with atmosphere. The locations are just so vibrant and colorful that it made me excited to see where the game would take me next.
But there have been other horror games where they were basically walking simulators that looked nice, but how Reveil distances itself from those is by providing the player with excellent and fun puzzles. Many of the puzzles actually feel like minigames and it makes the game feel more as an adventure game at times. That combined with an amazing plot twist makes this game a must buy for any fans of horror- or adventure games. Don't miss out on 2024's hidden horror gem!
