Let me tell you, there were many days that I was tired, too busy, or even a little ticked that I was in the kitchen prepping lunches and dinners for Will and the fam while everyone else was having fun and playing. But I had to revert my attention back to this verse; 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
My work is for the Lord. My service to the family is for Him. One day, I will stand before God and pray he sees a heart of service. So, I let them play, loving the giggles coming from the kids as they play with Dad. Or watching Will relaxing with the TV while I prepped. Thank you, God, that he can turn his mind off for just a couple hours.
