**Before we begin please read these detailed instructions**

On the astral plane exist the mysterious worlds and dimensions that are given form by the collective thoughts of the earth. Here all of the books and films and stories that have captured our imagination become real, non-physical worlds that we can visit and explore. Through the ancient technique of astral projection we can travel to these astral worlds and fully experience the reality of our choosing.

This meditation will help us to activate our astral body in order to access the astral plane. We can use this meditation to experience reality shifting, astral projection, lucid dreaming, vivid dreams or just deep sleep... it all depends on our intention.

Before we begin please choose a desired reality or astral world or dream location that you would like to astral travel to, and also think about the characters that you would like to meet there, and how you might wish to appear there yourself. I use the term ‘desired reality’ or ‘DR’ throughout this meditation and this simply refers to whatever location or world you wish to visit in the astral realms.

Make yourself very comfortable and use headphones and an eye mask to tune out any distractions. This meditation is designed for lying on your back, although other positions will also work fine. I recommend to relax on your back, but sitting in a slightly upright position, propped up by pillows. This meditation is extremely sleep-inducing because it is vital for our physical body to fall asleep to initiate astral projection. Lying comfortably in a half-sitting position will help to keep your mind awake as your body falls asleep.

If you find yourself falling asleep too deep then try sitting up straighter in bed, if you are having trouble drifting right to the brink of sleep then try reclining downwards more in bed.

There are plenty of long pauses in this guided meditation. During the long pauses this is your time to meditate and sink deeply into the experience your astral body. We need to learn to meditate peacefully and enjoy the silence of our mind in order to successfully astral project. These long pauses are here to help facilitate this inner silence.

Together during this meditation we will be stilling our mind, setting our intentions, affirming our astral abilities, grounding our energy system, releasing our limiting beliefs, cleansing and purifying our energy body, and relaxing our physical body right to the brink of sleep. We will then be practising a series of astral aerobics exercises to activate our energy body, and transfer our awareness away from our physical body and into our astral body of divine light.

This meditation works accumulatively with continued repetition and practice. The first sign that it is working is that you will experience more vivid and memorable dreams. Keep practicing the meditation and you will experience more profound and lucid dreams. Keep practising and you will experience astral projection and reality shifting. For best results also practice daytime mindfulness and regular reality checks through out the day, and be sure to journal all of your dreams and astral experiences.

This is an ‘astral aerobics’ style meditation in which we visualise and imagine the feelings and sensations of our astral body performing various exercises in order to shift our awareness into our astral body as a vehicle of consciousness. While you practice the astral aerobics exercises be sure to keep your physical body completely still and as relaxed as possible. If you find it difficult to experience the feelings of the exercises just relax and keep trying - it takes practice that is all and will improve over time. Also, feel free to be playful and adapt the exercises to suit your mood, you don’t need to follow my instructions exactly, the point is simply to get your astral body moving, so experiment with different movements and exercises yourself. For example, while I am saying to bounce off the walls, you may prefer to bounce off the ceiling! Just explore and have fun with the experience of your astral body.

Also, any time that an astral exercise is beginning to feel very powerful and the motion feels very real, I recommend to continue with this exercise even if I move on to another one. Its perfectly fine to steer away from my guide at any time and follow your own astral experience. The ideal outcome is that my voice fades away completely into the background as you launch into your own astral journey.
