With almost 10 million views, the Doug White King Air video has been the most popular video on the FS MaNiA Channel by far. I was pleasantly surprised receive an invitation to visit Doug and his family in Archibald, LA this past July 2022. I wondered if Doug would be open to an on camera interview? I asked and Doug said, "bring your stuff".

YIKES!!! I'm not a seasoned interviewer. This project was definitely outside of my comfort zone but I was not going to pass up the golden opportunity to talk to Doug about the King Air video's many questions and comments (currently 17,000) pertaining to his role in landing a King Air after the pilot suddenly died within 10 minutes after takeoff. I packed up all the gear I could fit in my baggage and headed to Monroe, Louisiana.

My wife and I were both mesmerized by Doug's recounting of his harrowing experience on that Easter Sunday in 2009. We also found out more about the flying Doug did immediately following the incident, going on to earn his Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and King Air type ratings. If that's not enough, Doug talks about the new MGM movie, "On a Wing and a Prayer" starring Dennis Quaid as Doug White scheduled for release Easter 2023.
