On July 28, 2022, a 23-year-old male was able to elude Marathon County Sheriff’s deputies three times in Knowlton, WI. Initially, they were dispatched to a residence for the report of a male in crisis. Deputies were advised the male had an active warrant and located him at a dead-end. He fled and stopped at a nearby intersection momentarily but continued on, leading deputies on a pursuit for several miles. At another intersection, he crashed into a stop sign and was hit by a semi-truck. He continued to flee but ultimately crashed into a cornfield and fled on foot.

Today’s world is swarmed with politics and conversations that are often misleading about our law enforcement officers.
