Scottie Scheffler has been VERY honest in an interview and Scottie Scheffler admits he would rather the PGA Tour just "kicked him out of the tournament" if he was playing badly rather than make him play on over the weekend to just keep sponsors happy!

Honesty is the best policy and I admire Scottie Sheffler for this! Scheffler was asked in the media centre at The Players Championships what he made of the PGA Tour's decision to remove cuts in their limited-field Designated Events in 2024. Scottie Scheffler's has made a very good start the Players Championship today and will be hoping to push on into the weekend. Scottie Scheffler's views about cut marks were similar to Eddie Pepperell's who plays on the DP world tour, which was released last week.

The reigning Masters champion and World No.2 spoke about his excitement to tee it up alongside World No.1 Jon Rahm and World No.3 Rory McIlroy for the opening two rounds this week. We can see that his excitement is turning into good golf with his fantastic performance on the opening day.

Scheffler can return to World No.1 providing results go this way and he finishes in front of both Rahm and McIlroy this week, that would be interesting! Schefflers best result at TPC Sawgrass is a tie for 55th but I would imagine he will be trying to improve this very quickly at the players championships!
