PART 1:    • We made it to Ecuador!

Filmed in July 2022 Part 2 begins when everything started to go downhill. I got the sickest I've ever gotten on a trip (we think the altitude screwed up my digestive system since Justin and I shared food and he didn't get sick). During the fog of my recovery we decided to go ziplining. I thought I was ok, but apparently I was delirious enough to do one of the stupidest things I've ever done in my life. A trip to the hospital and 5 stitches later, we had to completely re-plan the trip to accommodate for the injury. We made the most of the rest of the trip and in third episode we head to the Galapagos!

5 months later my finger looks almost normal except for my fingertip being more slender and there's also a faint scar. After all this time, the finger still hurts to bend and the fingertip is still too sensitive to play guitar. It took months of practice, but I'm now fairly ok at playing guitar with only three fingers. The pain and sensitivity are very slowly fading over time and I'm really hoping my finger will be back to normal within the next 6 months, but we will have to wait and see.
