Today we're taking a look at an often under-appreciated veteran of the Pacific War: the Vought OS2U Kingfisher. Designed and built as a naval scout for use aboard US Navy Battleships and Cruisers, it served throughout the war in its intended role, and it also became known as a 'Guardian Angel' due to its frequent use in air-sea rescue operations.

Producing these videos is a hobby of mine - and apparently its now a full-time job too! I have a passion for history, and personally own a large collection of books, journals and other texts, and endeavor to do as much research as possible. However if there are any mistakes, please don't hesitate to reach out and correct anything :)
