I managed to capture this footage of my awesome dive buddy and published shark researcher Alexandra Quester sharing a gentle moment with a Female Tiger shark at Tiger beach here in the Bahamas. The shark was actually curious at the clear plastic strip on her fins. As it turned to check them out they came face to face. Staying calm and composed Alexandra gently redirects the shark away to protect herself. The shark was going to turn anyway but better to be safe than sorry.

Please only dive with professionals when diving with large sharks. Sharks are not interested in humans and not the man eating monsters that the media portrays them as. But they do deserve our respect. One gentle exploratory bite from a large shark could be disastrous for a human.
