My family LOVES Panera bread soups! But we don't always love spending money on something we KNOW we can make right at home! In today's video, we will show you how to make this delicious Broccoli Cheddar Soup Recipe that is the next best thing to what is served up at your local Panera Bread!

INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ lbs broccoli
½ c. chopped broccoli stalk
1 ½ c. diced carrots, small diced
1 ½ c. diced onions, small diced
5 ½ tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp bacon grease
3 tbsp garlic, minced
1 celery rib, finely chopped
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
4 c. chicken stock
2 c. whole milk or half and half
salt, to taste
Pepper, ½ tsp
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper, optional
½ tsp yellow mustard, any mustard you like
12 oz. sharp cheddar cheese
toasted bread
