This video is part two in a series introducing conic sections; the circle, ellipse, parabola, and hyperbola. In this video we will focus on the Ellipse. We will look at two different ways to understand Ellipses, use the definition to derive the formula, and then work through some examples. We will also discuss an interesting property of Ellipses that makes it possible to hear someone whispering across a crowded room.
