What would you say if I told you that all the 3D objects you see in HS Geometry fall into one of two categories? In this video I'll introduce you to the first category, which I call "stackable" objects. Many different shapes fall into this category, and your textbook has a different formula for the volume of each one- but if you understand how these shapes work you'll see that they all follow the same general volume formula. I'll show you that formula, and help you understand why it works.

In part 2, I'll show how the second type of object, which I call "pointy" objects, all follow a slight variation of the formula for the "stackable" objects:    • Volume pt 2 - Cones, Pyramids, and ot...
