Signs & symptoms that a water pressure regulator is not working. Diagnose a defective water pressure regulator by using a water pressure test gauge.

A water pressure regulator is also called a PRV or a pressure reducing valve. A pressure reducing valve that is working properly is supposed to lower the municipal water pressure to a safe level for a house water supply system.

Some of the common symptoms of a bad water pressure regulator are low pressure, high pressure, leaks, & water hammers.
