Figuring out how to flavor cakes isn't as easy as I think sometimes...so here's how I figured out how best to create a coffee chiffon cake.

🥣 RECIPES
My coffee chiffon can be made in multiple sizes from layer cakes to cupcakes, go to my Cakeculator app and choose "Coffee Chiffon" for the flavor and any pan size you need.

Cold Brew
Add 106 g coarsely ground coffee to 4.5 cups of cold filtered water using a cold brew coffee maker. (The one I use in my video is linked below.) Chill in the fridge for 12-24 hours.

Coffee Extract
Add 20 grams of coarsely ground coffee to 100 grams of Everclear. Keep in the fridge for about 12 hours. Strain out the coffee grounds.

Coffee Oil (adapted from Modernist Cuisine)
To a mason jar, add 55 grams of whole coffee beans to 100g of flavorless oil. Seal tightly and sous vide for 12 hours at 158F. Remove from water bath and strain out beans.
